Did anyone else watch the Duggar Wedding episode the other night? This is the only episode of the show I have seen…. And I think it will be my last. Whether you watched it or not, this family is uber conservative and has some very interesting views on things.
It is just like Lego’s. I think that was my favorite line of the entire episode. This is how the dad was explaining sex to his son. His 20 year old son. Hum….
How about when the soon to be Mrs. Duggar’s dad was talking to the camera explaining how he had been the authority figure over his daughter and now her husband was going to be the authority figure over her. Hum…..
Or how about having your first kiss televised on national TV? Hum…
I even noticed one of the commercial breaks featured an ad for Plan B contraceptive. Ironic.
It will be interesting to see how many more Duggar’s these people create, since they are going to follow in the footsteps of his parents.

26 Additional Thoughts:
I about died when the Plan B commercial came on...someone at TLC has a good sence of humor.
yeah I didn't see it, but I did go to college with a girl who had never even touched her fiance (let alone kissed) and I always had a hard time wrapping my brian around that one!
I noticed that commercial too and it made me laugh!
Hope you are feeling well!
I'm a bit obsessed with the duggars... It's like watching people live in some alternate universe. I wonder if they got to hold hands pre-wedding or if that was too slutty?
I watched the wedding special and I've watched the series. It's completely entertaining to me because I find them to be a bit ridiculous. I can get some people wanting to wait till marriage to have sex, but kissing? I find that to be a bit much, and the fact that their first kiss was televised was weird. That's a personal thing, and I also didn't need to keep hearing about sex all episode long!
The Plan B commercial was awesome. I almost died laughing! I also found the Lego comment amusing.
That wedding lego picture is great!! I didn't see it but commentary was priceless.
I called my friend when the plan B commercial came on because when Jon and Kate plus 8 came on before the Duggar show I called it TLC's birth control Monday! I actually LOVE the Duggar show because it is like a trainwreck...I want to look away but I can't! I did think the commercial was a teensy bit disrespectful to show during the Duggar show.
The Duggars are a bit too conservative for my taste. I've only seen one episode, where the son proposed to his girlfriend, and it almost seemed like an arranged marriage. It was all very odd.
Oh man, what a show!
Didn't you just love his cousin who was sooo out of place?! She was giving him the kissing tips and all that, hah!
Oh, and did you notice how once it was appropriate to hold hands, she wouldn't let go of his at all!!!
And she looked quite disappointed at the kiss don't you think???
HAH!
I only saw the engagement episode... my mom saw the wedding one and is dying for me to see it. It's CRAZY that I'm sure they will have a kid asap... and it will be like one year younger that his brother/sister that's about to fall out. I say "fall out" because after 18 kids I'm sure that's what happens.
the show is kind of interesting at times. But come on, the flowers were just enough to make me not watch. If you can afford 17 kids you can afford some flowers.
What is this show?
I am fascinated with this show...not because I agree with their lifestyles but because it's so different. They showed the proposal and he actually flew TO MY TOWN, went to the factory card outlet and bought balloons and then drove to a restaurant to propose.
I am a Duggar monster. They make me laugh so hard I can't stop watching. When they had the commercials with JimBob in the headshop my boyfriend was yelling at them for being dummies.
I'm officially obsessed with this show. I just can't turn it off! Boyfriend complained throughout tonight's shows, but I thoroughly enjoyed the parents' trip to San Francisco :)
I'm a little confused by them. I have to say, I'm occasionally overwhelmed by having one baby in a few months, and the idea of 17-18 or more scares me silly. Plus, all the "J" names are getting a little old. I think they need a new letter.
This show is just crazy. I don't see it often, but when I do my jaw just hangs in shock. I saw parts of the wedding episode and it was just SO uncomfortable!! OH, and when he was talking about that book he was giving the son.. and said that he would now know everything that he knows about sex.. EW! What a strange group of people. It is good for a laugh, if nothing else!
I can't handle it. (Although if we had cable I probably would watch it.)
To me it just seems greedy to be consuming so many resources when the world is already so crowded. If you want to have a large family, that's fantastic! Do it! Just not biologically. There are SO MANY kids out there who need loving (even if they're super conservative) homes!
OMG I saw the commercial for it and almost died, forgot to watch though! I knew they both had waited! Wow Legos! I will have to see it! Plan B too funny!!
Oh, and the whole child/grandchild being the same age thing freaks me out.
I think the whole show is awkward...
Thank you so much!! The same to you! I can't wait to see your new little addition!
I could not agree with you more. So odd...but at the same time I wish that girl the best of luck. Poor thing!
Plastic wedding flowers = best entertainment on television. The trip to the San Francisco head shop on last night's episode made me cry, I laughed so hard.
The Duggars fascinate me in the weirdest way, it is like they live in a time warp. The commercial for the son's wedding special is so creepy. The shot of them driving in the car with the voiceover talking about their first night together is too much.
This is totally not related, but I just looked at your pregnancy timeline and I cant believe you are already 32 weeks. I know it DEFINITELY wont seem this way to you, but it feels like you just told us you were expecting! Good luck on the final stretch:)
