The Flying Tomato

The red hair. The curls. The gold medals.

I have had an Olympic crush on Shaun White since we first learned about him many years ago. I know this is pretty cougar-ific of me, but I am secure enough to admit my crush.

In addition to his gravity defying tricks, he seems like a cool person to hang out with. He genuinely appreciates his fans and he is always has time to sign an autograph or two.

I love it when you see Olympic athletes get genuinely emotional when they win a medal. Last night he showed us all that winning gold medal #2 is just as exciting as gold medal #1.

Do you have an Olympic crush?

I think Lindsey Vonn maybe mine... or the other girl who won 2nd and painted a tiara on her helmet. I have great appreciation of this.

Bryan Clay! Gold medalist in decathalon in 2008. Everyone was like, "Blah blah blah, Michael Phelps" and hardly anyone mentioned that an American won the decathalon. That's impressive! Plus, he's super cute.

You crack me up. I have an Olympic crush on him too--he's been so good to his parents with all his success and always credits them for their support and he donates to The Target House because he was born with a heart defect and he just seems like a nice guy. Which I think is really hard to find in high profile young athletes these days.

And I totally I wish I could pull off the curly red hair like him. I just end up looking like Carrot Top. Which is NOT a good look. For anyone.
