This post is for all of the momma's out there. I need food advice.
Miss A is at the stage where she hates for me to feed her. Pushes my hand out of the way and gets pretty annoyed with me. Sometimes she will let me feed her yogurt, but other than that she feeds herself.
And this is great! We can go out to eat and not have to bring food for her. She even ordered off the kids menu last week. (Chicken and cheese quesadillas at Tin Star. Yum.) But I feel like I need to add some different foods into her diet. I always make sure she gets a protein, fruit/veggie and a grain, but she needs some more variety.
She is a great eater and will eat almost anything, so tell me what your little one ate at this stage. Not sure if this is important or not, but she is 11 mo old and has 8 teeth.

I love http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/ for ideas. A lot of this is focused on babies younger than yours, but they do have "older" recipes. You are probably at a great stage where you can just give her a little of whatever you guys are eating. Good luck and have fun!
I would always keep some cooked veggies in tupperware in the fridge. My little ones like the organic mix of corn, peas, carrots and green beans. They would even eat them cold and could be a perfect finger food.
Just wait until they want to eat their applesauce by themselves!
My baby H loves anything with sauce- he LOVES eggplant parmasean, ravioli, stuffed shells and lasagna. We also do grilled cheese, pirogies and believe it or not he loves the unagi brown rice bowl from whole foods! (bbq eel) I find that he wants whatever I am eating. we have even given him veggie garden burgers (not the ones that try to taste like burgers) when we want to get more types of veggies in him without puree. Good luck! we are still struggling to find variety and good meat options- but yesterday we had a chicken divan crepe and he liked it a lot!
I just bought "Feeding Baby Green". I'll let you borrow it. I haven't read it so I can't comment :)
Some of the things off of our plates that my kids ate when they were ready to feed themselves were cornbread, grits and guacamole dipped onto a saltine (not all at the same meal...). :)
I've been buying a lot of frozen mixed veggies (all different varieties and some come in various sauces) that I can quickly steam and thrown in some diced chicken or ground turkey and that's a pretty standard meal for them. Plus a fruit and grain. They also love all pasta dishes so far and they've even eating my mexican casserole dish. The twins only hve about 4 teeth but that hasn't stopped them from eating anything I put in front of them!
