First of all, let me say that our apartment was on the 3rd floor and we never had people "just walk by..." That being said, I have to admit that I still have our Easter wreath hanging on the front door. Gasp! I have had good intentions of changing it, but never found the right one to replace it with and since every apartment in our complex looked the same, people used our Easter egg wreath to find our place. I am super picky... I don't like silk flowers. I don't like super cheesy things. I don't like things with words / sayings on them. I do not want one that is only good for a month at a time. And I certainly will not spend
a lot of money of the thing.

I am going to make this beautiful (and cheap) wreath for our new house. And as far as color combos go, I am going to do something that will work all winter long. Forget fall, I am going straight to winter. We have a dark red front door, so maybe shades of cream/white with some silver/gold mixed in? What color combo would you do OR would you stick with one color?
30 Additional Thoughts:
I think the combo you mentioned sounds good. Definitely more than one color! I love that wreath... now I want to make one :)
How cute!!! I love it!!!
Hello! I love it! We are on the third floor too, but that doesn't mean I don't want a fun door too!
Have a great day!
I love that wreath!!
Beautiful...and I like white with silver. :)
I think the colors you thought of (white and gold or silver) would look great on a red door. And it would be appropriate well beyond Christmas!
YAY! This wreath is also on my DIY list!!!!!!
the silver and cream colors sound great. neutrals will always be perfect!
What a cool wreath! I think this will be beautiful for fall and winter.
I love that wreath! I think I might make a fall one and a christmas one for my apartment door
Love the wreath! I have it saved on my hard drive. I think gold and ivory would be really pretty. During the holidays you could hang a pretty ornament in the middle. I also think silver and light blue would be pretty as would a light pink and pale green for spring/summer. Post pics when you are done!
I love the sound of silver/gold and creams against the red door! How fun and festive. I love DIY projects!
That wreath is beautiful. I want to star it in my google reader so I can try and do a winter wreath once I've had to (sadly) put away Christmas!
P.S. I tagged you!
Ivory, white, and light blue. But then, I'm a light blue person.
Hobby Lobby's ribbon by the spool is 1/2 off this week if you have one near you.
I'm totally doing this for a baby shower to match the invitation...
