No more for me!

It seems like the paparazzi are going to the extreme lately. First of all, let me say that this is a double edged sword…. If consumers would not purchase mags like Us Weekly or InTouch or OK!, then all of these people would be out of a job. I know that I love reading celebrity gossip, but when you see pictures like this it makes me sad.

I think Suri Cruise is one of the cutest babies out there, but that does not mean we need to know her every move. There are a lot of people at fault in her situation, but it still makes me sad to see pictures like this. Obviously, she is afraid of these people – she is constantly covering her ears and burying her head to avoid them.

So, from here on out I am not going to purchase anymore gossip mags. (We’ll see how long this lasts…..)

Awwww so sad. I had a friend in college wo was stalked by the photogs. It was horrible, all because of who her Dad was.

I agree, it is so sad to see the children hounded like that. It's one thing if you are an adult that puts yourself in the spotlight but a little kid has no choice. I stopped buying US Weekly... I now read it at the library instead. :)

I'm with you! I feel bad for these kids too, as they didn't choose their parents papparazzi happy careers. Even if you don't buy mags, though, there are plenty of websites that post celeb gossip 24/7. I myself, am guilty of checking that out too. I wonder if papparazzis are here to stay? (I hope not!)
Hope you're having a great day!

yeah I completely agree. I feel so bad for her that she isnt going to have a normal childhood because shes more famous than all the other babies! I just hope she stays as cute and adorable when shes older, and doesnt turn out like mary-kate and ashley!

I'm with you, except I don't know whether I have the willpower to actually stop buying these magazines. "US Weekly" is, shamefully, one of my favorite vacation indulgences.

I have middling amounts of sympathy for the parents, whose livelihoods depend on such PR, but the kids never asked for such a life. Good food for thought . . .

I agree. This is so sad. They should really leave the children alone. Well, they should leave everyone alone but especially the children!

i'm with you! you're a mommy-to-be and your opinion on this is so valid. i think that it's just really terrible that no one has any privacy.

I agree. I love celebrity news and gossip but it always breaks my heart to see kids scared like this. Don't they have a heart???

Thanks for the great idea!

I actually stopped my subscription because of that but happened to see a cover story in line at CVS... Did you see the article this week about how she has no friends and tells secrets to her dolls, so sad and like they really know that.

I also love the celebrity magazines (they make metro rides so much faster) but I agree that there is a difference between taking Brad Pitt's picture and taking Maddox's picture. One is an adult who choose to get into a line of work that put them at risk and one is an innocent child... Soo very sad. Aren't the photogs parents or humans too?

That's one of the reasons why I don't buy gossip rags. I also feel that they are a waste of paper because they go immediately in the trash after the 10 minutes that it takes to look at/read them. But I will look at them at the Doctor's office if I have to sit in the waiting room!
