Muffin = Muffin Top

When I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that all of the Starbucks had the calorie count posted for every singe food item. Not that I normally get their food, but it was interesting to compare the "low-fat" / "fat-free" / and the "full-fat" items. I think you were better off ordering the chocolate brownie versus any of the muffins or breads.

This is an interesting article talking about the law that forced Starbucks (and many other places) to display these shocking calorie counts. Next time you are ready to order that fat-free muffin, remember that it might end up being a muffin-top instead.

So true!! I will admit, it is easier for me to eat something "knowing" it's horrible and fattening without actually literally knowing the calorie counts.... I try to be healthy and careful, but, man, if every food item I ate had the calorie count on it, whoa nelly, I'd probably be a lot thinner! Hm, not a bad idea... :)

Yeah once you put a number on everything, it makes it SO much easier to turn it down. So NOT worth the calories! Muffins at any place this are horrible... the ones at Dunkin Donuts are like 700 calories. Crazy!!!
