Mrs. Preppy in the Kitchen

We celebrated my dad's 50th birthday last night with a surprise party at the lake and then everyone boarded a private sail boat for some time on the lake.... everything about last night was wonderful! We had a great time and I am so glad that we were able to spend my dad';s special day with him. In preparation, I made about a million snickerdoodles..... my most favorite cookie, ever.

This is one of the best wedding gifts we received. I love using it!
Baking cookies is a breeze with one of these things....

OK, I'm about to reveal myself as one who doesn't spend a lot of time in the kitchen...but what is it that you've placed on the cookie sheet - that the cookies are on? With the orange border that says "Made in France"? That's kind of nifty looking.

We have a Kitchenaid mixer too but it's my husband who uses it and swears by it.

Something I've never had, but always wanted. Might have to put it on the list!

Ooooh I love that mixer. I would feel so fancy having one of those...kind of like I was hosting my own cooking show.

I am so glad your dad had such a fun birthday! I love my kitchenaid too. It is hands down one of my favorite kitchen items. The silpats are also helpful when you are baking.

I hope you had a nice 4th of July weekend!

Yum-o! Those cookies look delicious. My Kitchen Aid mixer is always on standby. My favorite is baking red velvet cupcakes.

I can testify the cookies were wonderful-but not as good as an evening surrounded by my wonderful family and friends.
