I need your help and suggestions....
Currently, we have the Breville Ikon Die-Cast Blender... I thought I was going to love it, but so far has been anything but. From everything I read about it, it should be able to make mulch from tree branches. Not that I ever intended to make mulch in my kitchen, but I at least wanted it to make smoothies, hummus and most important... margaritas! This is the 2nd $200 sucker that I have had. It constantly creates air pockets while blending, making the motor work extra hard until I have to stir things up to remove the bubble. Not that I am lazy, but when I spend $200 on a blender I want to be able to rely on it working. Perhaps I have just had back luck with duds, but this one is going back... maybe the 3rd time will be a charm.
If you have a blender that you like, please fill me in!

4 Additional Thoughts:
It's not fancy by any means, but my old Kenmore blender whips up Margaritas like a charm!
(p.s. mulching tree branches - hee hee!)
I actually love the blender you have. I got it as a gift last year and didn't use it for months. I finally pulled it out and I think it makes the best smoothies. I love that I just push one button and it stops when it's supposed to and it's the perfect texture. I've not tried to make anything else with it though.
I am going to get the Waring 60th anniversary blender -

Have you asked the staff at Williams Sonoma? They are very helpful and knowledgable at the location where I shop.
Let us know how lucky # 3 is!
We have had a Bita-Mix for 4 years now & love it. It is the same machine Smoothie stores use, so you know it is tough. Plus lifetime warranty & tons of great recipes. I just made ice crem in it & it took 2 minutes total.
