Bonanno's

Since the Bonanno Sunfest sale is going on, I am thinking about ordering a pair to take advantage of the great price! This will be my first pair of Bonanno's, but I am wondering how they run - size wise. I wear an 8.5 -- should I order an 8 or 9? What is your favorite color combination? I want to get something that is a good neutral....

Urban Life

Isn’t it funny how sometime it seems like your life just goes in big circles? As a preacher’s kid I grew up going to church, but when college time came…. Well, that was a different story. I don’t think my alarm was capable of going off on a Sunday morning. But it was something that I wanted to be a port of my life. Fast forward to now…

Married.

Young-ish.

No kids.

Dual career.

(I guess that makes us a DINK…. ) In my mind a DINK is a pretty good thing to be right now. But, when you are a DINK trying to find a church that you both like, well that is harder said than done. From my church experience, it seems there is always a spot for you in a church from birth until high school graduation. Then again once you have kids. That middle period… is kind of like purgatory, I guess. (I am married to a Catholic… I am picking up on these terms) Well, Mr. and I have been going back to my childhood church because Kathryn has started a great program for us DINK’s - Urban Life. I really like it… I am even going to a bible study. And for those of you who know me in real life, you probably just chuckled. Yes, you read that correctly…. A bible study. It is every Monday night and there are witnesses to prove that I have been there.

Weather

Last night, Dallas was in the middle of some pretty crazy storms. Mr. Accountant insisted on getting the weather updates from one channel…. And I wanted another. I am a firm believer that in a metroplex as large as Dallas/Ft.Worth, certain networks focus more on certain markets. For example – NBC (channel 5) does more Ft. Worth….. ABC (channel 8) does more Dallas. We live in Dallas. So, it only makes sense that we watch channel 8 – right? Well, I watched channel 8 in the bedroom while he watched channel 5 in the living room. Good compromise – don’t you think????

I am sure we are not the only ones that have this issue….. Right?!?!?

Mr. Accountant and I are going to SWEDEN this summer! We are really excited about it. Technically, it is a work thing (for me,) but we are going to have a blast . We are going with 2 other really nice couples, The Mitchell's and The Peterson's. Ashlynn and Chris were the GRAND PRIZE winners with our design contest, and the prize is a trip to the birthplace of my company.

Chicago sightings

Back from KBIS and I need a nap! While in Chicago, I had a couple celebrity sightings. Mainly athletes, but still celebrities in my book.

I had a lengthy elevator ride with King James.

As well as another elevator ride with various members of the Orlando Magic. And I said hello to Patrick Ewing. We must have been staying at the hotel all visiting NBA teams stay at.

And I almost bumped into Ty Pennington while at the show.

MIA

I leave tomorrow morning for the KBIS show in Chicago, therefore will be MIA until Monday. It is always a huge show for us, and it means countless hours on your feet... AND THEN attending cocktail parties and such. An extremely busy weekend, but at least I get to dress up for some great meals / events AND rest my tired feet here.

Also, I am going to see my friend Ashlynn and her cute new baby! Baby Lucy is adorable and less than 2 weeks old.

Hopefully this year, I will get the shoes right. Meaning, in the past I have worn everything from heels to flats, but still end up with aching feet. This year, I am going to be sporting these Mary Jane tennis shoes. They are going to look perfect with my black suit -- no???

This is the first time that I have ever been tagged! The Preppy Pearl tagged me for 6 unimportant facts about myself.... Here they go.

1) I cannot stand clock ticking. If I am traveling or staying anywhere where there is a clock that I can hear ticking I either cover it up with a blanket or move it outside the room!
2) My best friend from college introduced my to Mr. Accountant and I introduced her to her husband.
3) I really hate to cry, but sometimes a Grey's Anatomy episode can make me a weeping fool.
4) I hate roses.
5) I like the smell of air conditioning, when it is just turned on in a hot car.
6) I was a hard core Diet Coke addict up until 2.5 years ago - I had to give it up cold turkey because it was giving me awful heart burn. Now I only drink water and tea (and red wine!)

Banana Republic shirt

I am stalking this shirt. As soon as it goes on sale, it will be mine! I am not sure which color I would choose.... either would be fine with me, since white / navy/ apple green make up 75% of my spring wardrobe!
