Letterman!

I might be a guest on Letterman!

I was up in NYC for some meetings last week, but was able to squeeze in some fun at the same time. One of which was attending a taping of the David Letterman show. So, as I am in line for the show, the interns are passing out sheets for people to give them a "Great Story" for a new segment they are starting. I give them a story of something that happened to me freshman year of college, hoping that they think it is as funny as I do. The next day, I get a call from one of the producers wanting me to stop by for a taped screen test.... they loved my story and want to tape me telling my story. I arrive at the Ed Sullivan studios and they take me down to the green room for my taped screen test. All went well and they seemed to love my story!

Tomorrow, I am sending them a picture of the actual event and then I wait and cross my fingers!

(I am not sure if by telling my story and it somehow gets out, they might decide not to have me on the show.... so, once I find out if they want me or not, I will then tell the story)

Also, if I am picked to be a guest on the show... WHAT WILL I WEAR?

Summer Swap!

So, I am incredibly late posting this, but I loved my Summer Swap package! Mom x 2 sent me the best summer goodies.

She did a great job. Everything was wrapped in my favorite colors (navy, green and white) and we even gave each other some of the same things. Running Just As Fast As I Can, thanks so much for hosting the swap. It was a blast!

Half and Half

Over the past couple weeks the half and half pictures have been all over the place. First came the Barack / Hilary Time Magazine cover. Then, the NBA Finals.

Mambo Taxi

Too many of these things and you better be in the back of a taxi!

Tonight, we are going to Mi Cocina to celebrate my birthday! Technically it is not until Saturday, but I will take all of the birthday celebrations I can get.

Plus, Saturday we are going to be cruising to Cozumel and beyond! I could not think of a better way to spend my birthday. This will be my first cruise.... any advice or things I should know?

A Mambo Taxi: The restaurant's signature drink, Mambo Taxi, mixes frozen margarita with a sprightly dash of sangría. It's the best cool-down drink in town.

Butt's and Bikini's

After days and days of searching, I finally hit the jackpot. Or so I thought. First off, an extremely kind blog friend had found the bikini bottoms that I had been searching for! (Also, how thoughtful of everyone to check their Targets for me.) Then, I was at Target just now during lunch and I found the bottoms I have been searching for. I tried them on…. and well, let’s just say that if I was into crack, these would be just for me.

Now here is my rant. I have an almost nonexistent butt. No hips, no butt. Yet, the XL was too small. That’s right – too small! I don’t have a big butt…. (and I would admit if it did) Since when does an XL equate to crackage on a flat butt? What do people do that actually have extra large behinds? I guess they don’t get their swimsuits at Target.

Bikini Bottoms

Help!! I should have bought this swimsuit when it first came out, but I passed it by because the top was too small. (triangle top.. ugh!) So, this is a plead to all my blog friends.... If your local Target has this bottom in an XL, I will pay you to pick it up for me!
