Playboy in my closet

Looks like Holly and I both have the same taste in green J Crew sweaters.... but, that is about the only thing we have in common.

Also, what is it about wearing that sweater that makes you pose with food?!? Mine was from Christmas morning with the breakfast casserole I had made. What was her excuse?

Missed opportunity...

Had I known they were going to be in New Orleans the same time I was, I would have stalked them instead of getting my mani and pedi at the Ritz.

New Orleans

I just got back from a weekend in New Orleans. It was my first time to spend more than a couple of hours in The Crescent City.

My salad from dinner last night at La Petite Grocery -- Egg Salad!

Along the mighty Mississippi River

The remnants from the St. Pat's Day Parade --- they throw cabbage, carrots, and potatoes from the floats.

A beautiful courtyard

I love the black iron...

Left over Mari Gras beads!

There was an Amish choir singing in Jackson Square

Go Mavs!

Last night I went to to Mavs game with Allison and while we were cheering on the guys to a great win (118 - 93) over the Charlotte Bobcats, we saw this.

Yes, she was reading. At. A. Sporting. Event. So, as she was engrossed in the Harlequin romance, we were watching this....

Plus, she had great seats. Why would you waste $100+ seats to read a trashy romance novel? Her husband must be proud.

Don't get me wrong, I love to read..... just not at a Mavs game.

Also, I got to wear my favorite Dirk shirt....

Bling - Paris style

So, this is absolutely hilarious. As we all know, Miss Paris Hilton is in luuuuv with her "on again, off again BFF's baby daddy brother." She has a new piece of bling with Benji Madden's initials....which just so happen to be Mrs. Preppy's initials. Maybe I think I need to add this accessory to my jewelery box. Or maybe not.

My RealAge

I am only 17??? On no.... Not only does this mean I am too young to vote, drink or get a rental car, I am not even allowed to get married! Mr. Accountant will not be very happy to find out that he is married to a minor.

This was pretty interesting. The man behind this is Oprah's health guru -- Dr. Oz.

Turns out that my RealAge is only about 2/3 of my real age.

What is your RealAge?

This is making the blog rounds....

Do you use a dresser, closet, or both? BOTH! I wish I was able to have to closet all to myself, but I have to share. He keeps threatening to take it back!

Do you wear glasses? Only at work. Very cute black Gucci rectangular frames

What type of handbag do you carry? Right now, it is a black Longchamp

What is your ideal style? Classic and preppy

What jewelry are you wearing right now? Everything that was mentioned in above.

Do you wear knee-hi stockings? Actually, yes. I wear them all the time for work, when I have trousers on with heels. I prefer to call them trouser socks.

Do you wear socks or slippers when your feet get cold? Slippers from our hotel in Maui

Do you have a set of travel luggage? Isn't all luggage for travel??? Yes, I have luggage.

If you are married, did you wear a veil with your wedding dress? Or course! Cathedral length. I loved everything about my veil.

Do you wear a watch? Yes, a Michele one on my right hand and I an right handed. Very odd.

What item of clothing always makes you feel extremely beautiful? Most recently, it would have to be my wedding gown.

What is your favorite type of yarn? I like cotton.... I do not like for things to be itchy or scratch me.

Boot Camp 101

I have been doing boot camp for a little over 1 week and I am LOVING it! I do half morning sessions, half evening sessions and it is defiantly something that I look forward to. There are different instructors, depending on when you attend, so there is always variety. In the mornings, we meet inside a mall.... so, as I am running past Banana Republic OR J Crew OR Victoria's Secret for the umpteenth time, I can begin to picture the clothes in my closet. Plus, I can see when they get cute, new stuff!

Since every session is a little bit different, you never have one part of your body that is sore.... you entire body is sore! But, I am one of those workout freaks that actually likes being sore after a good workout. It makes me feel like I am actually doing something.

Right now I am sitting on my couch with a glass of wine in hand, watching the Barbara Walters Oscar special. She just interviewed Vanessa Williams and she seemed to be one of the most honest actresses I have heard. Barbara asked her about how she maintains her 'look.' Vanessa was very upfront with it all -- Botox, multiple trainers, a special food delivery service, etc. I love how honest she was! Too many times these actresses act like they look like they do, without ever having to work at at. I love how she accepted the fact that looking a certain way does not come with simply good luck or good genes. Both of those things help, but you also have to work at getting that way.

Off to make dinner.... pan seared tilipia, couscous and salad. I am trying to get fish into our diet at least 3X a week.
