Back to reality

Last week I was lounging with my feet in the sand...

And building sand castles with this sweet girl....

And eating dinner with this as my view.

Texas heat

The Texas heat has finally fried my brain.

For the majority of the summer we have had temps like this:

And yesterday was even the hottest day of the summer. The "official" temperature was 106 at 3 in the afternoon. Yikes.

And I did not feel a thing. Miss A and I spent the afternoon outside - I even thought yesterday was not even as hot as previous days. It was not until my mom was talking to me about the temperature did I even realize how stinking hot it had been.

We are outside almost every day, so I guess we have just become used to these temps.

Today the high is supposed to be 100. And we have an afternoon play date..... outside!

Good News - Swimsuit season is here!

Bad News - Swimsuit season is here.

I have no idea what kind of suit to get for this post baby body. Definitely NOT what I wore last year...

I was thinking more along the lines of this...

Has anyone had Land's End suits? How do they fit? They are on sale right now, but the sale ends at midnight so I have so make a quick decision.

I am going to get this one for Miss A. I love that it has snaps - should make for easier diaper changes this summer at the beach.
