Mall + Food Court = Bad News

In my opinion, whenever a mall gets a food court bad things happen. The mall will eventually be overrun with coke heads, loitering thugs and people looking for trouble. Last year, my favorite, FAVORITE mall was expanded and they not only added a food court, but also a movie theatre. (double whammy)

And look what happened Friday night. Not good. If you can’t feel safe at J Crew, Banana or Lilly then where can you feel safe? They need to take out every restaurant and replace with quality establishments.

We had a similar situation at my favorite Charlotte mall, Southpark. The end result was a lot more security around the mall. I hope the woman is okay.

Enjoy your week!

Wow.

NP opened a food court?! WTF?

Okay, okay, not to be flippant.

Also, this happened at Northpark, and the one in Charlotte was at Southpark?! Whoa.

Oh to have a real mall...

Sadly I am going from a pathetic mall to no mall at all.

Wow, that is so crazy! A few years ago someone got shot by a burger king in my local mall. At the time I remember thinking, WTF?. When I was a teenager my parent never let me hang out at a mall for hours. What ever happended to shoppping, maybe grabbing some food at the food court if you are hungrey and then going back home. I really hope they increase security at that mall.

That's crazy! A few months back there was an article in the Dallas Morning News that showed the significant rise in "incidents" at Northpark in 2005-2006-2007 and after the expansion opened the figure skyrocketed. Are the people that go to the movies on a Saturday really even shopping in those stores afterwards? I wonder how much extra revenue that expansion really brings in and if all this trouble is really worth it to the existing retailers.

So scary!

The money attracted the incident not the burgers, burritos, and cinnabons!
