Wedding Nightmares

Why is it that as the wedding gets closer (31 days) I have these crazy NIGHTMARES?!? In the first one, it is the day of the wedding and anything and everything that could go wrong, does.
  • The cake collapses.
  • My mani / pedi is chipped.
  • I forgot to do my hair and makeup.
  • We forgot to send out invitations.
  • The flowers were wilting.
  • Half of the bridesmaids were wearing navy tea length dresses, the other half were in long, brown dresses. (Long, brown dresses are the correct ones)
  • I forgot to wear my veil.
  • Late to the the church.
  • The list goes on and on......

Last night it was more of the same, except this time I ended up assaulting the minister. (Sorry Kathryn) I am waiting in the back of the church and for some reason the music is all wrong. No trumpet player. No flutist. No organ. The bridesmaids then walk/run down the aisle and are talking to people the entire way. By the time I get to the alter I end up throwing my bouquet at the minister in disgust and then........ I woke up! Good thing, I don't think this bride would want to know what happened next.

As crazy as our wedding would be if all of those things actually happened, I can rest assure that NOTHING will come close to what happened at this wedding.

31 days - WAHOO! Nightmares are normal ... just as long as they don't come true!

Now I can peak at your blog - thanks for commenting on mine.

Having a baby just before the KBIS doesn't hinder my chances of winning right? :) I am totally entering.

I feel ya. My wedding is still months away and I've had dreams that the flowers are wrong, nobody showed up, and the someone had already used my reception set up.

Don't worry, I had those same dreams before the wedding.

Thanks for the warning to wear protection at the rehearsal! Enjoy this time...it is incredible and will pass so quickly.

are nightmares 23 months before the wedding normal? i got engaged in feb. '06 and the wedding has now been postponed till 9/09 but sometimes i get the freakiest dreams ever. most of them include the day being a total washout, as the place that is our first choice for the wedding is the brooklyn botanic garden and the highlight is the outdoor cocktail hour!
