Dresses and Ties

When we go to weddings, I always buy him a tie that coordinates with my dress.... I like to think that we "coordinate" vs. "dressing alike."

John Mayer concert

Seeing as it is about a million degrees here in Dallas, Mr. Mayer decided it would be best to perform wearing a minimal amount of clothing.

I think he made a wise decision.

The concert was great... he does a wonderful job live. Unfortunately, there was no Jen sighting.

Ladies that Lunch

Today, my mom and some of our best friends spent the afternoon at The Mansion on Turtle Creek. It was a late birthay lunch for me, and we all had the best time!

Magnolia Cupcakes

I recently received a PR promotional booklet with some recipes from some well known NYC restaurants / bakeries and included was a recipe for vanilla cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery... I have not tried them out, but will be doing so very soon.

Entertaining

I love to have people over for entertaining and such, but sometimes when these go on during the week you don't have a lot of time to go all out. When I had my Stella & Dot jewelery party a while back, I made the best little pretzel / chocolate treats and I thought my beverage idea was pretty neat.

All you do is heat the oven to 275 and bake for 4 minutes. As soon as they come out, drop an M&M on top. I stuck them in the fridge to cool. I used the Hershey's Hugs, but I think they would also be really good with the peanut butter kisses with a Reese's pieces on top. (Peanut butter and chocolate is my favorite!)

For drinks, I had an assortment of Crystal Light single serving mixes available to mix with bottles of water. Very easy, yet cute and classy!
