Rapunzel, Rapunzel

Last year (around this time) I chopped my hair off for Locks of Love. I maintained that short do for a while, but now I am ready to have my looooong hair back. Yet, for some reason when I get my hair trimmed I always agree to “framing the face” and “adding body” or “take some of the weight off.” That is just hairdresser code for “I am going to keep cutting your hair because long and straight hair is boring.”
It may be boring, but I want my hair back.

Some may say that hair that long is a lot of work, but not for me. Wash and dry. That is it. Maybe I should double up on my prenatal vitamins.

I LOVE the first picture of you! Of course, your long hair is pretty. But, your adorable bob looks great with that dress in the top pic!

I've been thinking about donating my hair too but I'm nervous!

I think you look darling in the short hair. But you have to do what you feel you look best in.
I had longish hair for a long time. Then one day (during the summer) I cut it to just below my shoulders. While I have had misgivings at time for doing this I have to say that I don't have to work as hard at maintaining the hair.
My sister had her 3rd little boy in December and she cut her hair the shortest it has been in some time (just about her shoulders too). Her three are 4,3 and almost 6 months. She has said that when it was longer there was the chance that the children could get caught in it.
Whatever you do I think you look great.

I think you look great with short hair! Gives off a more sophisticated look...when my hair is short people guess my age correctly, but when it's long they think I'm 17ish. I'm learning to like my hair shorter...

Either way, you'd still look great. I like the shorter hair better :)

I'm the same - long hair on me is SOooooo much easier. I like you with short though, especially with that beautiful dress/necklace...

We have similar hair, though I don't think mine is as thick as yours. Every 5 years or so, I chop it all off like you did last year, then start over again and grow it really long. I never have a style, just long and straight (though I did cut bangs just before your wedding), and no color. The last cut was in 2004, and this time I might actually go for a style.

I originally had a point to this comment that was supposed to be beneficial to you, but I've totally forgotten it now. Sorry! What a bonehead.

I with you...I want mine longer and everytime I go, I hear the same three phrases!!! Short hair is too much work for me, and long hair is easy because you can wear it so many different ways...and the easiest...a ponytail! :)

I have the opposite problem, I donated mine almost 2 years ago and have been growing it out again with the intention of donating it and my hair is currently driving me absolutely nuts. I think by the end of the summer I am going to have to give in and donate it before I am literally pulling it out.

I donated my hair about two years ago and I just now let it get long enough for a pony tail. I desperately need a trim but I'm afraid it won't be long enough for a pony and I forgot how much I love them. Oh, and I completely understand agreeing to the framing my face thing...they get me every time!

I just don't go to the stylist... I may look like a hippie sometimes but my hair grows!
