How long were you married before you decided you were ready for a little one? Well, this little one surprised everyone – even us! We were married in October 07 and got pregnant in June 08.
You have $500 to spend at J. Crew. What would you get? These days, that would not go very far with them! I would buy a lot of their jewelry and shoes. I love their shoes! Those are the only things from there that I can fit into right now.
Where was your wedding dress from? My wedding gown is by Jasmine Coture. I got it at a boutique in Dallas. I am not sure what the style number is, but here is a full length picture of it.

Keeping with the wedding theme, how did your husband propose? My husband caught me completely off guard with the proposal. First of all, it was a Tuesday after work. Who gets engaged in the middle of the week – I do! He had emailed me in the middle of the day asking if I wanted to go to Gloria’s for margaritas that night. Of course I wanted to get some margaritas after work…. He meets me at my apartment, where I am busy cleaning my bathroom. (He is a neat freak and I am not so much) I have the radio up loud and I am rocking out in the bathroom when he calls me into the living room… Next thing I know, he is down on both knees and a diamond ring is coming out of his pocket. He says some really sweet things, and of course I say YES and immediately want to call my mom and dad. He does not want for me to call them right away, wants for us to enjoy this special moment together. I agree, but still want to call them! We had reservations at Gloria’s for later on that night, so I agree that we can call the parents after dinner. We show up at the restaurant, and as soon as we walk in we are greeted by both sets of our parents! He had made prior arrangements for them to be there when we got to dinner, which explained why he did not want me to call them. Also, Gloria’s was where we had our first date…. And the proposal took place about a week before Valentines Day. He did not want to do it on 2/14 because he knew I would be looking for it.
What are some of your favorite restaurants (both fancy and dives) in Dallas? Most of the favorites are close to downtown, since pre-marriage I lived down there. Manny’s (Mexican food), MoMo’s, Gloria’s, John’s CafĂ©, Cuba Libre, Fireside Pies, Legal Grounds (for breakfast), Fearings, Mi Cocina / Taco Diner, Jasper’s
What are some of your favorite places to eat? Is Mr. Accountant an adventurous eater, or does he prefer chains? See above. Mr. Accountant is a pretty adventurous eater. I love to cook, and he always eats and compliments what I have prepared. Prior to me entering the picture, he would eat the same thing for dinner – every night – only alternating the vegetables.
And did where did you go to school? I went to a small, liberal arts school in AR – Hendrix College. It is in Conway, AR – about 30 minutes north of Little Rock.
Does Mr. want a boy or girl? You know how you can tell, right? He jokingly says that he never wants girls, but I know that he is full of it. He would be the biggest softie and not be able to say no, which is why I think he says that. I know there are lots of old wives tails on how to figure out the gender…. Which one were you thinking of?
We hear so much about your husband. What is he like (besides dashing of course)? He is a very fun loving and caring man. We balance each other out perfectly – he is a numbers guy, I am the creative one. He loves to clean, I love to cook. We both love sports, but he is a die hard Chicago fan and I love all Dallas sports.
What one thing are you most worried about when it comes to having your first little one? Daycare. I am going to go back to work and you hear all of these horror stories about daycare. I really want to find someone to watch Baby M in their home.
What was your major in college? And, if you had to do it over again, would you study the same things? My major was marketing and I would still study marketing if I had to do it over! Some days I think it would be neat to be an architect, but I really love what I do.
Are you going to go private after the baby comes? I think I might create a private blog for non-stalker readers, and then keep this one pretty surface level. No exact names, but still plenty of pictures.
How did you get your job? I graduated from college in December and searched forever to find a job… It took me 8 looong months, but finally I was referred to the company by a friend who had done some freelance advertising work for them. I was very fortunate to get a job here – I have been here for over 3 years and still love what I do.
If you were stuck on an island and could only have one thing to eat what would it be? I love cereal, so if I could pick one type of food, that would be it. When I am feeling good, I go for Chex… but my favorite is Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
What are your work plans for after the baby?
After maternity leave, I plan on going back to work full time. I think that it is going to be a huge challenge, but I really enjoy my career and what I get from it.

I love all of your answers and it's always so nice to hear a woman say that she loves her job and can't wait to go back. I'm not sure that will be me because I don't love my job. Maybe that's why it gives me hope to hear the opposite point of view from someone else.
I love your proposal story! It's similar to mine in that he flew my family in to surprise me at dinner after the proposal. Your husband sounds like a great guy!
your wedding dress is absolutely lovely!
My mother grew up in Dallas and just loves the place. I actually have never been except to DFW airport. I have however been to San Antonio (on of my sisters went to Trinity).
I love cinnamon toast crunch. However, I like anything with cinnamon in it!!
